Hi, my name is Doug Lay, and I’m committed to helping you buy or sell a
home in Branson. I believe in a tried and true business model built on trust.

After moving to Branson in 1962 as a youngster, I grew up at a small resort
along Lake Taneycomo. My parents built the resort to take advantage of the new
rainbow trout fishery created by the completion of Table Rock Dam. While
attending Branson schools, I watched the area evolve from a small tourist
destination offering fishing, boating, Marvel Cave Park and a few small music
shows, into what it has become today.
 Working in the construction field beginning in the late 1970’s, I
witnessed the first “Branson Boom” in 1982, when a rash of motels
and music shows were built. I worked in the construction and recreational
fields until 1991, when I started a lawn irrigation company that I operated for 14
years. Having recently sold the business to a long-time employee, I am happy to
be selling real estate in Branson.
My integrity, knowledge and long history in the area make me highly
qualified to help others find the home or business of their dreams in the
Tri-Lakes area. I am working with Murney Associates, Southwest Missouri’s

You might say I’m Branson born and bred. I grew up in Branson, went to
school here, and I met my wife Marsha, here in town. Together we have 4
wonderful children who all still call Missouri home.
When I am not searching for your dream home or helping you sell your home, I spend free
time golfing on the beautiful courses here in Branson, or fishing and hunting
in the outdoor paradise that the area offers.
The people here are extraordinarily friendly, and my life experience has led me
to believe that there is no better place to live or raise a family than in
Branson.
